Parish Drop In - Litter & sustainability 11th March 2023

This will be the main topic of the parish drop in to be held at the St Peter Port Constables office this coming Saturday, 11 March 2023 from 10am – 12 noon. This month, we are delighted that Julie-Anne Headington will be on hand to present on an awareness campaign in St Peter Port regarding litter and sustainability tips. Douzeniers will also be on hand to assist with other parish concerns such as the collection of refuse, or street lighting, for example. No topic is off limits, and Douzeniers will do their best to answer queries or direct the enquiry to the relevant parties or organisation. The St Peter Port Constables’ office is located in Lefebvre Street and will be open to the public from 10am – 12noon. We look forward to seeing you.

Dog Tax 2023

Please be advised that dog licences for 2023 are now due at £10 per dog for the year. These can be paid by card over the phone, cheque or bank transfer to Constables STPP. Please contact us if you no longer have a dog in 2023 so that we can update our records.

2022 RATES FINAL DEMANDS

The Constables of St Peter Port are issuing final demands to 167 households for unpaid 2022 Parish rates. Failure to pay, will result in Petty Debt Court action. Payment can be made over the phone on 720014, in person Monday and Friday 9.30am – 1.30pm or Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-4pm or by bank transfer the details of which will be on the invoice.

Results of the November 2022 Parish Elections

In a contested Constables election , Jennifer Mary Tasker was elected as the new constable for term a term of 3 years. With eight candidates for 7 places, the Douzaine election was very close and the results are as follows - Mary Bernadette McDermott topped the polls, then Denyse Jane McGahy, Christopher Julian Hudson, Christopher Paul Nicolle, Michael Guy Gordon Garrett - all will serve a four year term with Philip Lawrence Smith serving two years and Thomas Benjamin Moore completing a one year term. Constable Zoe Lihou congratulated all the successful candidates and is looking forward to working with them. She also thanked the many volunteers who manned the polling stations and helped with the count. " We would not have been a able to do this without your very kind assistance" she said

Parish Meeting November 2022

Following a successful meeting last evening, we are delighted to announce that there will be a deferred election for the position of one constable and also for the seven douzenier positions. The election will take place on 16th November 10am - 8pm with polling stations at the Constables Office and Beau Sejour reception area. Please do come and vote so that your choice has a chance of becoming either Constable or Douzenier.
